Wardrobe by Burnham Design is the premiere collection of upholstered furniture by Betsy Burnham of Los Angeles' Burnham Design.
WARDROBE is the first collection of hand-crafted upholstered furniture from Burnham Design.
From a trove of projects, drawings and inspiration, working with Los Angeles based craftspeople, Betsy has built a collection of key pieces in archetypal shapes that stylishly answer common design questions and form the basis for memorable rooms.
Betsy’s sophisticated and witty aesthetic and unstinting emphasis on tailoring and comfort shines through in this beautiful line of lounge chairs, sofas and dining chairs.
Wardrobe takes its name from the tailoring and classic fabrics found in Betsy’s own wardrobe: denim, twill, linen, heather grey wool and chambray. Livable comfort being the ultimate design goal, Betsy named each piece after characters in favorite “comfort” films: the Bridget sofa (“Bridget Jones’ Diary”), the Ripley wing chair (“The Talented Mr. Ripley”), the Benjamin and the Elaine (“The Graduate”).

A lightweight chambray in a deep denim blue. A little like Japanese selvedge, but with a softer hand and a more tailored finish.

This fabric reminds us of army pants, but it has some texture to it. Olive green should be a staple in every wardrobe; it’s so wonderfully neutral.
